Florescence co-founder, Domenick Maglione, was enrolled as a student studying biology and botany at the University of Miami. A plant fanatic, Domenick fostered an intense passion and curiosity for cannabis despite its bitter stigma within the United States.

His love for cannabis and botany guided him into the world of academic cannabis research. Domenick became involved with numerous studies and began cultivating cannabis. Domenick was fortunate enough to work alongside the top cannabis researchers in south Florida, and had the pleasure of consulting with world-leading cannabis researchers such as Dr. Ethan Russo.

Domenick, being the cannabis enthusiast he is, noticed something quite unsettling; the abundance of substandard, low-quality flower saturating Florida’s cannabis industry. Following his realization, Domenick began touring some of Florida’s most extensive cultivation facilities to gain insight into how and where in the cultivation process quality was being sacrificed. He was appalled at the industry standards and common practices observed as well as the serious lack of care for the end cannabis user. He soon realized that this dilemma was not exclusive to Florida but instead applied to cannabis industries throughout many states around the country. This ignited a fire within.

Set in his convictions, Domenick knew the present course of the cannabis industry would be tarnished for the foreseeable future, and cannabis users would be subjected to utterly shallow quality standards without choice. Domenick knew he could do better, so he moved back to his hometown in New York and dedicated his future to addressing industry shortcomings. He intends to set a new standard in quality and craft cannabis to provide cannabis users with the excellence they deserve

Domenick met his future business partner along his journey, who saw a similar vision and held powerful dedication towards equivalent goals. Here, reader, is where Florescence was born.
